Guest Designer over at The Scrapbook Store

Hello everyone and I hope you are all getting all your warmies out for the coming winter.. We are pretty lucky here in Qld as our winters are simply glorious.. Days of about 18 degrees and our mornings much cooler like 5 but nothing like a lot of you suffer.

Today I would like to share this layout I have created using the cute Fancy Pants Down by the Sea collection as part of my Guest Designer contribution over at The Scrapbook Store.

My hubby and son went to Tangalooma fishing for the day yesterday as it was a perfect day both on the water and in the sky.  My son was over excited to catch this (liddle fishy wishy) but was happy to throw it back in as it was a bit (teeny weeny) lol.

I have already printed out the photo and done up a layout for him which he now wants on his wall in his room.. Im sure this will change in a few years.. He is 10 so still pretty happy with the simple little things I do for him.

Product List:
Amy Tan Date Stamp
Doily
Washi tape

So creative ones.. make sure you pop on over to the lovely friendly ladies at The Scrapbook Store and check out their wonderful products.  They deliver super prompt delivery and even offer you a great 15% off your very first order.
Have a great week xxx

Family Getaway

Well we have finally got away for our 6 days away in Port Douglas.. Far North Qld.
We are here to attend the Camera House AGM but we also have a little holiday out of it as well.  Ken has been doing lots of the meetings and Corey and I have been doing it tough out by the pool and down town once a day on the local shuttle bus.
It is really quite sad though that up here in FNQ the cyclones and storms have really made an impact on the tourism (or lack of) up here.. Very sad to see so many businesses struggling.  It is really nice to be in the slow pace of life I must say though.. No one is in a rush, the bus will stop in the middle of the road for you, no abuse or road rage, everyone is very friendly which I so miss living down south.. But.... I wouldn't like up here again if you paid me.  I love the Sunny Coast.  I am so happy where I live now.  This will always be part of me up here in FNQ as I lived in Mackay for 15 years.. but I am in my element now where we have pulled up stumps.
Here are a few photos of our holiday I would like to share with you all.

 My two favorite boys

That's all folks... Home tomorrow and back into work Wednesday for the rest of the week :-(
So nice to get away and have some slow down time with my family.
See you all soon on the creative side

Handmade By Suzanne

Hi everyone.. this month I am super excited to be Guest Designer over at Handmade By Suzanne.  I was sent a gorgeous pack with the lovely Fancy Pants Down by the Shore Collection.  It is such a bright fun collection and I have many many great pics I can create work with using these lovely papers and embellies.
Here is what I come up with for my first.  I hope you like it.
The photo is of my very close cousins children.  They were on a 12 month trip around Australia from Sydney.  This was at Shelley Beach in WA.  They have stinger suits on and they were just acting up like liddle fruit loops.   They are crazy happy these kids.. Love them to the moon and back.
Enough of my babbling.. here it is.

I have used the new Fiscars border punch and a few star stamps of Heidi Swapps.

Make sure you look out for my next project I come up with using  Down by the Shore.
Have a fantastic week.

Project Life Update......

I am still two weeks behind and I think it will be like this for a few more weeks to come as we are going on holidays this week.. cannot wait.. off to the beautiful Port Douglas for a week at the lovely resort up there.. a huge amount of well deserved R & R for myself and hubby and of course our shadow... DS.
I have enjoyed doing PL so far.. very full on and very demanding... no time to rest.. but that is probably part my fault as I do scrap a fair bit on my pages.. but that is the way I am.. love to create.. so i cant change my ways.. wold be nice to be able to just slip the cute as BH pages in and a few pics.. but it just is not complete to me..  lucky I enjoy it.. Time would be helpful... more of it please.
So here is the last couple of weeks here..

We went up to Eumundi Markets on the Saturday.. So many lovely things to photograph and so many beautiful colours.. I just found myself clicking away... So I have added in an insert.  I soo love the idea of these.

And I had to take a picture of my gorgeous Marmilade skirt I finally at the markets.  I have been wanting one for so long but always had the guilts spending the $$ on it.. but the guilt come and went so fast this time.. lol.. I seemed to be able to deal with it lol

 And now for Week 11

How cool is this Amy Tan pushy...

And the beginning of Week 12..... more yet to come

Love these sweet little jars... so so cute.. They are the American Craft Dear Lizzy range.

That's the update for tonight my friends.. off to finish off Week 12 and some journalling..
Have a great week everyone.. love that the weather is starting to get a bit cooler.. nice and snuggly with my boys.  Yay for winter.. well Qld winter that is..
