Another Corey layout LOL

I love doing layouts with Corey in them but since my girl has left home,.... I soo miss taking photos of her. She is a naughty girl and does not take any photos anymore.  I need some recent ones of her to scrap.  I miss scrapping her.  So when I am up there in a weeks time... I will be annoying the buggery out of her.
I plugged in my portable hard drive through the week and I plucked out some older photos.  I love seeing them again.

In this layout I have used:
October Afternoon - Rocket Age paper
Simple Storeis paper
Making Memories velvet Brads
7 gypsies tag circle
Twine
Ppink Paislee cushies - Meingue letters
Teresa Collins Off the Edge Brad

This range of paper is so cool for boys.
It is nice and bright and cheerful and yet so boyish.
I am happy to have finished work for the week.  Only a day off and then back into it.  Stock taking again next week.
Cant wait to see my husband.  He has been away in China for nearly 2 weeks.  He is very homesick and can't wait to see us.
Night night for now
Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend and for those lucky girls at the Brisbane Craft show.... Wooohooo... Im jealous x

Discover Life

I love these photos of Corey on Tangalooma Island after discovering a beautiful starfish in the water washing up to shore.  His eyes nearly popped out of his head.  He felt so lucky.  He loved to look so closely at it and loved the detail of it.

In this layout I have used:
Kaiser Craft Photo Friendly paper
Kaiser Craft Seaside Collection - Escape, Beach Huts and Rock Pools
My Minds Eye brad
My Minds Eye - Fine and Dandy Paper - Dapper
Imaginisce - Scooter Vacation Paper
Natural twine
Chipboard Circle by www.scrapbookingcraft.com.au
Hessian from Spotlight
my2angles Turtle charm

I love the Kaiser Craft paper with all the words on it. It is a lot of beaches around Australia.  Nice to have this in my layout.
Thanks for popping in

Kaiser Craft Technological Collection

Well after a huge week at work and not having really a moment to spare except at night time, I was soo looking forward to my Friday night in with the girls at Daisy Chains in Nambour last night.  I love going there. It is so the highlight of my week after a full week at work.  It is a total feel of put your feet up, left have our favourite thai take aways for dinner, put some music on or a girls DVD, share or crafty loves which don't always just include scrapbooking LOL.. There is a bit of crocheting sneaking in, the love of iPad and mac books, a bit of my quilt been thrown around and whatever the girls are up to at the time.
I really and truly miss flicking through the photos on my computer.  I transferred a few thousand about a year ago over to my portable hard drive.  I really miss looking at the older photos. So.......

I dug out my portable hard drive .. so I looked them up the other night and ohhh.. I can't believe how much especially my Corey has grown.  They sure do the best part of growing growing in these early years.  I loved this photo when it was taken and I still love it now.  So I had to go and get it printed and it just told its own story on this cute as Kaiser Craft Technological Collection of papers and chipboard pieces.

I put this together with such happiness and felt proud doing it for Corey's album as I knew he would think that it ROCKS... more than the other layouts I do.  When I showed him this morning he said.. wow Mumma.. this is your best ever layout ever!! Haahhahaa I knew it.
A list of what I have used:
Kaiser Craft Paper - Technologic Collection
Kaiser Craft Wooden Flourishs - Cogs
American Craft Thickers
Crate Paper Stickers
Bakers Twine
Buttons
Karen Fosters Scrappers Floss

I hope you all have a nice weekend.  I only get tomorrow off.  My hubby is off to China for 2 weeks so I am hoping to get lots of creative projects happening or and finished in between work.  The house will be a bomb zone with all my machines out and whatever else my liddle heart desires.

Night night for now..
I have just printed out my wish list for Duty Free as the clothes are too small for me and my feet are too big for their shoes. LOL

Envy Cafe - my favourite

When I have time out to myself which is often before work or after training, I love to go and have a catch up coffee with a great girlfriend for a good catch up goss, or by myself with my iPad or now.. crochet hook and wool.  I love this time out as Im so relaxed and I have a good 90 minutes to myself to chill out and watch the world go by and everyone else rushing around.
I have been coming to Envy Cafe for about 5 years now and I still love it.  The staff love my work and even have my copic cards for sale in the shop which sell like hot cakes.
I took a shot of these two gorgeous girls and they loved the photo I took on my iPad using Leme Cam.  So I said I would promise to do a layout for them one day.  Tomorrow I will put it on a canvas for them and hang it in the Cafe.

Products I have used are:
Tim Holtz Lost and Found Paper
Echo Park Paper
7 Gypsies Lille Journal tags
Tim Holtz metal hinge
October Afternoon Farmhouse button
Bella chipboard letter
Glossy Accents Crackle Paint
Collections Elements Heart Padlock and tissue paper
Bakers Twine
Hessian

We have just had two full on days at Spotlight.  30% off 8-8pm so I am glad it is all over.. I can stop rushing now as I have so much on at home at the  moment.  Well my fault.. So many projects I have deadlines for.  But all is well.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  Ahhhhhhh!!!! LOL
Night Night for now

Once upon a sketch

I love this site.. Once Upon A Sketch...it has the most inspiring sketches and I love a challenge now and then... so I put my thinking cap on after reading the criteria and loving the sketch.
Here is the sketch for March Challenge

The focus of your journalling and the theme of your layout has to be based on YOU and something/s that you are really good at. Don't be shy! We are all good at something as small or as big as it might be.

So this is my take on the sketch.... I hope you like it.. I have done the layout on my love for photography.. I'm no professional photographer.. just a happy snapper and I have my camera everywhere I go.  When we are out at a special celebration no one brings their camera as they all know... Moonie will have hers.. LOL
I now have a new Canon G1X.. and it is the most amazing point and shoot ever.  So totally clear and sharp.  I loved my Panasonic Lumix and I have had an awesome love of it over the past 3 years.

Thanks for stopping in for a looksie x

Bonjour Madam

When I saw this paper from Kaiser Craft. I put the two of these together and fell in love.  I love the shabby vintage feel about these papers and the romantic feel.  I got home and hunted high and low for this photo of my Mum and John.  It is so beautiful  I took it when we where in Paddington Brisbane.  When Mum and John come over we quite often go to Paddington for lunch and a relaxing stroll down the main street and look at all the gorgeously quaint shops there are.   I look this photo and just love it.. so this one is for you Mumma....xx  I love you

Not enough hours in the day

Hi girls..... well I have had a super duper busy week and next week looks like it is going to be the same.  But thats ok cause that's just the way I like it.. although......... I would loooove more time to just sit and do all my arty farty loves .... I have in my ex scrapping room...now craft room....
I currently have 3 quilts on the go... my owl one I am nearly finished.. just the binding to sew on... one of my besties in Mackay.. two sides left of the binding to go on.. Bonnie girl.. her bubby girl is due in 89 day.. I have not started.. I am crocheting a blanket for my DH and DS... then my wool is there waiting to start on mine, I have my scrapping which holds me up from all as Im so addicted to such beautiful papers I get from Barbie at Daisy Chain every single week, I have my yummy copic pens sitting there with all my scrumptious stamps ready to colour in and make cards with, I have 3 pairs of jarmie pants cut out and ready to go, I have made 4 day bed cushions and 3 still left sitting there ready to be finished, and that about sums it up.... sooooooooo I would LOVE MORE HOURS IN THE DAY or night as Im such a night owl.... I could sit up for hours doing my own thing, but I turn into a pumpkin most nights and take myself to bed as I normally have work at 9 the next morning.
But you know what.... Im sooo going to be the happiest old girl as I will have sooo much to do and I will be creating til my hearts content.
On that note... I will upload two new layouts I did Thursday night and Friday night at Daisys.
Hugs... Moonie girl x

Scrapmatts March Challenge

I am having lots of fun playing along in a few challenges lately.  I have loved using Scrapmatts lately also.  I was asked to post one of my layouts to their Gallery and then I stumbled across the March Challenge while reading the gorgeous Cathy Cafun's lovely blog.
The criteria was pretty simple.
Make a male card and use layers...

So I hopped right to it and this is what I come up with.

Products I have used:
Scrapmatts Eiffel Tower
Collections Elements butterflies
Pink Paislee Valenties Day Paper
MME Lost and Found Blush Paper Collection
Sam & Lucy word stickers
Cosmo Cricket Tiny Text words
Thread
Versa Colour Pinecone ink

So.... off to find another challenge to do.... It is really nice to get out of my comfort zone.  Between working, gyming, crocheting, making quilts, jarmie pants for my boys, scrapping, keeping up my walking between gym days and of course the dreaded house hold chores..... I am really enjoying scrapping atm.

Hope you all have had a great week.  I can't wait to get to Daisy Chains tomorrow night for a good old catch up with the girls over some seriously fun scrapping hours.
Night night

Get Picky February Challenge

After reading Kim Jeffress @ A Glass Half Full stunning blog... this March Challenge from Get Picky got my creative juices flowing as I am such a pink girl but sadly I don't scrap much in pink.  I am such a lover of vintage and shabby chic paper and layouts, I sometimes forget to scrap other stuff.  So doing this challenges was a great one for me as I got to use the colours that I love.  Thanks for that Get Picky
Here is the criteria below.  Pretty nice criteria to work with I am thinking.

Welcome to our February Inspiration Challenge.
This month we have some colour inspiration for you.  Please create a multi-photo layout inspired by this prompt...

Scrap the Boys - March Challenge

This is my second challenge that I have done in 12 months.  And the first one was last week LOL
I thought I would get out of my comfort zone and do a few challenges.  It makes you use other products, colours and create a different style if you must... are you following?? LOL
So I loved the title of this challenge my Scrap the Boys.  The criteria is very simple but fun too.  Your title needs to be LIFE IS GOOD, YOU NEED RED IN YOUR TITLE AND YOU NEED SOME HAND WRITTEN JOURNALLING.  Simple isn't it.  So here is my take on the challenge.  Nice and early and it was fun to put together.  These photos were taken when my husband and I and son Corey went on our boat cruise Dec 2010 to New Zealand.  This is my home town in the Port of Mt Maunganui (North Island).  My cousin and nieces and nephew along side of my Mum and Dad were there to spend the 8 hours with us.  We had a day fun of love, laughter, joy, and sooooooo many tears while I was waving goodbye to them when our ship left.  I was standing up the top of the deck and tears poured and poured when the ship tooted its huge horn which gave me such a fright that I nearly fell overboard.  It was one of those days that I will never ever forget.  Not to mention the ice-cream fight.

Thanks for stopping in and saying hi
