Time to slow down

Well we have sold our shops and I am now not working.... well giving myself some time off for now anyway. I am loving not working but I am still busy but doing so much that I want to do. It is a great feeling when you wake up in the morning and have so much you want to fit into your day... and work is not in the picture. Bliss for now and I am so appreciating every single day I have to myself like this. I have started to paint again, I am spending more time cooking, being at home, walking and just feeling relaxed. I decided last night to pack my bags with my young one and take off up North for a week or two. We are going to see my baby girl who is now 20. I miss her like I cannot explain. I hold so much of it in my heart and try not to dwell on it but I do find myself when I am on my own just feeling the tears uncontrollably pour out of my eyes. "This is Life... but not as we know it". I keep telling myself she is happy and I am so happy for her but it is such a natural thing for a mother of such a special girl to miss one so terribly. She and I are so close and I know we haven't lost any of that.. we just don't get to feel it every day like we did when she was still at home with me. Some people are happy when their kids leave home... but she could stay til she was 37!! I told her so :-)

So DS and I are heading up for our 10 hour drive north tomorrow and will get to her on the weekend. First stop will be back in my home town of Mackay where I will see all the best girls in the world. Miss them so bad. Cannot wait to have the day and night with my BFF Mandy Moo..! Not sure how long we will be.. I am on no time limit.. except I have promised DS we will be back for something special that he is excited about at school. I have homework for 2 weeks packed from the teacher so we are set. I am happy to have all my Masters submissions ready in the pizza box to be sent to Silverwater NSW. I am happy with what I have created.. although I can always do better. But I have enjoyed the challenge. Good luck to all you other girls out there that are submitting your work too . I will not be bored on my holiday as I have the car packed and in my little beep beep I have 2 canvases and paints and brushes, my laptop, my copic pens, stamps and paper and lots of photos to edit when I have some time to do nothing. I am planning on having a relaxing holiday, not shopping, but doing all I can for my girl in her new little house and just spending quality time with DS at the beach, park, water slide etc. I cannot wait. Til next time.... I will be sticky beaking through all of your blogs over the next few days.. xx Happy days girls Moonie xxx

Check these bags out!

I have just stumbled across these awesome bags... Good for anyone, so many styles. I love bags but I don't like just common handbags all the time.. They tend to get so boring.
Just thought I would share this post with you

The Big Book of Scrapbook Pages

I was so excited to received a pizza box in the mail this week thinking it was paper to do some designing with but to my super surprise it was finally my copy of Memory Maker's The Big Book of Scrapbook Pages ! It's been a long time coming ... to be honest I had actually forgotten about it. Somehow I come across this website wanting submissions for this mag so I submitted 3 layouts last year and one was chosen. I sent it off and 12 months later I get this gorgeous full on glossy big fat magazine in the mail. So proud to be on the the 5 Australian scrappers in it. It is totally filled with funky gorgeous beautiful layouts in it. So go and try and get your hands on one as soon as you can. I am right near the back.

It's all about FELT

It's Felt Week at my2angels

and to kick start off the week we have

30% off all FELT

until 21st July

Are you one of those scrappers saying... “Felt – that’s so yesterday”?

Some scrappers don't use felt, because it isn't considered trendy, but heck, if it is easy on the budget, easy to use and looks good - then why not?

Other scrappers think that it is boring and limited in how you can use it.

Many scrappers don’t use felt because of past bad experiences: backing paper not coming off; it doesn't stick down properly; or it sticks to everything in sight, including itself.
So pop on over to my2angels and get a bargain right now on some yummy flet. I love putitng making felt birds to put on my layouts. I love the texture of felt birds or even felt wings on the birds.
So thats all for me tonight .. happy scrapping girls..

Fun with Copics

Well here I go down another avenue that I have been purposely turning my back on as I knew I would get addicted to it.... But it is all Monika's fault.. She has been flashing her cool copic pens and to die for gorgeous yummy cute as stamps in front of my nose.. so here I am and there is no turning back now :-)
These are my first 3 pictures I have colored in. I am still obviously learning. To be honest I have no idea what to do except to color them in and try and do some shading.. But I will learn as I go. There are so many awesome youtube tutorials to watch.. They are fun to do in your own time. I have been making a few cute wee cards over the past 4 weeks. Just trying to use up some of my nice scraps. They are too cute to bin and I wouldnt use them on a layout now as I jsut keep buying new paper that is released. So I have been making them. I have sold about 60 cards in the past 4 weeks. So great for me. I wont be retiring as I am working for $3 an hour. Hahahhaha but I love it.
I cannot believe how many gorgeous stamps there are out there online when you look all over the world.
We have had an awesome relaxing weekend. I have just started my double layout for Masters. I have my others all ready for the mail. Much more organized this year. Not like last year.
Got a yummy roast in the over cooking. Smells divine.
Love to you all. Happy scrapping!!!

My Space

Well I decided to fully spring clean my scrapping room tonight.. makes me have good clean head space.. plus I like a change.. I pick up some extra inspiration as a bonus.
I love my room.. I am very lucky to have what I have. My DH and DS come in and spend time with me in there as I have a king single bed and tv in there.. and of course Corey's DVD collection so it is nice that they can be with me as I create.
I would love to see some of your scrapping rooms.. so come on.. hop to it and post some pics..

I love these pictures of Corey at the air show in Auckland New Zealand when we were home. He was just in love and amazement with the huge air crafts. He felt very special sitting in the helicopter with the pilot and even got to put on his head piece.
I have used a combination of the cool, funky and playful new October Afternoon Rocket Age and Bella paper. I have used a few of the Rocket Age stickers too, twine and October Afternoon market stickers.
Just love the papers they keep bringing out.. Amazing talent!
Scrap for charity @ Daisy Chains Scrapbooks this Saturday 10 am - 10pm so I'm pretty motivated to get some nice work done.. hahha probably only get one layout done.. but who really cares.. I love the company and a day out to just scrap x
Thanks for stopping in ... take care

Echo Park SLASH!!!

I love these sort of papers and the colors but they are not really my style of scrapping.. But I always buy them as they are just soo yummy. I had the perfect photos for these papers so this is what I come up with.

3 Pieces of Echo Park paper, bakers twine, my2angels charms and that is really about it. I even got to make this cute card.
Lots going on in my life right now.. Hard to really keep up but that is just the way it is. Us girls just keep up with it all dont we.
Keep up the scrapping girls.. Love the work that I am seeing on all your blogs.
