So much rain

I cannot believe the amount of rain we are still getting here in Qld. I have always been one to absolutely love the rain.. spose because it reminds me of New Zealand but I also love it that it doesn't get freezing miserably cold like home, but cools down just enough to feel like a couch potato and maybe slow down for a day.. LOL.. yeah right. Well I do try. I love it when I am at home and it is pouring. Because of where we live, we can hear it roar through the trees beyond us and we just wait for it to hit our home. It is quite incredible. We are off in our caravan for 5 days and I dont mind if it rains. Will be nice if we get some fine days but I am planning on getting up to date with my OLW project with Ali Edwards. I am a fair bit behind so this will be a great time to catch up and take loads of inspiring photos. I would love to see your work if you are doing the course with Ali...
That's all for me tonight. Love to you all

Goodbye Nan

Ken's Mum Nan passed away last night due to bad health. Ken was lucky that he got to say goodbye to him as he only got back from OS yesterday at 4pm. She passed away 2 hours after he come to say goodbye to her. Bless her. Nan had a very tough life but would do anything for anyone and that is why everyone called her Nan... cause she was like a Nan to everyone.
Pop passed away just two years ago so she will be at peace with him now.
I started this layout on Sunday night and was completing it when I got the phone call. This was at Dean and Leighs wedding just in November. She looked great. And this is a beautiful photo of Nan and Ken together.
I have used Prima paper - Annalee Collection
Websters stickers - Ladies and Gents
American Craft thickers - Jewelry Box
A2Z scraplet - the gorgeous owl
Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink
Alison Design White fizz Glitter
Hand made Doily and twine from here
MME - Lost and Found paper collection
my2angels Cameo and bird charm

Thanks for looking xx

My Minds Eye

I must admit I have not scrapped many photos of Corey as a wee bubba. He was such chubby chub bub. Loved all his soft rolls of fat which were so yummy to blow raspberries on. Corey was 6 months old here. I have used the gorgeous full of color My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy collection, Basic Grey Felt Woollie Stickers, Tim Holtz Good Thoughts stamp collection, Emmas Shoppe Stickers Collection by Crate Paper, Alpha Stickers, my2angels gorgeous twine, basic grey brad and I have used the splendid Spellbinder Nestabilities . So here it is.. pretty happy to add this to Corey's album.
What have you done over the long Easter break..? I have not touched my scrapping room since my girl has been home but ready to go and run a muck in there tonight.
Happy Easter and love to you all

My Happy Easter

Well I cannot believe this Easter. It is the first Easter I can remember for a while that we have had full on sunshine and have been able to spend time on the beach. Has been awesome to see so many people out on the beaches surfing, sunbaking and just all being together out in our great outdoors. I do love the rain but I must admit it has been three awesome sunshiny days here on the coast.
I have had my girl and her boyfriend here for the Easter break and I feel soo lucky and I have been on top of the world since she arrived. I am a pretty happy girl most of the time but I absolutely shine when I have my girl around me. I used to get peed off with her going into my drawers and wearing my clothes, shoes, nail polishes, jewelery, makeup but I cannot believe how much I have missed it. I miss having a girl around to share things with. Only us girls would understand. Dont think any man would quite get it. We have had a couple of great nights being mad together. She just soo totally rocks my boat. I am hoping she will move back down here but the chances are very slim at this stage I think. She is happy up north so as long as she is happy I am happy. So we are happy to make the most of our time together. I hope you have all had a great Easter and made the most of the time to eat lots and lots of chocolate. Me?? I have had full will power and not had one.
Love to you all
night night for now

The blonde, the redhead and the brunette xx
I am having the best ever Easter with my girl and Corey. Danielle and her boyfriend are down for 6 days over the Easter break.. thanks to Ken for shouting her a flight down for her 20th which was last week. It was meant to be a surprise for me but as Ken is away in Hong Kong I was determined to not stay at home over the Easter break no matter .... so she had to ring me and tell me the exciting news. But Im so glad she did as I had a whole week to get excited and more excited. We have been lots of places and done heaps of bonding all over again. It has been 7 months since we have seen each other so we had miles of girly chatting to catch up on. Tonight we are taking her out for dinner for her birthday with my sister and Kerry. I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter and to those here in Qld.. wow... check out our weather!! The first amazing Easter we have had for a long time. Im still waiting for the expected rain tho. Love to all Moonie girl x

Etsy Store

While I had the most enjoyable 14 hours scrapping with the delightful Kim, Taryn and Gail, I managed to get a wee stash of my own from Gail. Gail has a gorgeous Etsy store selling so many yummies I love to get my hands on.
So go on over and see for yourself what Gail has. I absolutely love the colors. Simply beautiful. Thanks Gail

So True

How do you expect kids to listen to their parents.......Tarzan lives half naked, Cinderella comes back home at midnight, Pinocchio lies all the time, Aladdin is the king of thieves, Batman drives at 320km/h, Sleeping beauty is lazy and Snow white lives with 7 guys. We shouldn't be surprised if kids misbehave at times!!!

Sooo excited!!

I only have 3 more sleeps til my girl comes home for Easter. It was meant to be a surprise but due to my husband going to Hong Kong this morning for 9 days .... I was determined not be staying at home at all for the Easter break. I had a few things in mind and Ken put me off for many reasons.. weather, save money for our wee holiday in Byron Bay when he arrives home etc.. but I was persistent and was going to go left or right outside our street for Easter no matter what. So it come to the crunch... Everyone knew except me that Danielle was flying down with her man for Easter. It was meant to be a surprise but Ken knew I would not keep still so Danielle rang me and told me. She was busting to tell me and now I have had a week full of excitement and organizing for when she gets here. Corey and I will pick her and Matty up at the airport in Brisbane on Thursday but first of all Corey and I are going to spend the day at the Brisbane Art Museum at Southbank. I am pretty excited and so is Corey. I cannot wait to just hold my girl and not let her go, have coffees together, beach if it is suitable weather, go shopping, out for dinner, movies inhouse and out, music and dancing at home through the house and no doubt she will clean out my wardrobe. ... which to be honest used to drive me up the wall but I sooo miss it. I miss sharing my clothes, shoes, bras and jewelery with my favorite girl in the whole wide world. So whatever you are doing for Easter... I hope you have a great break and eat way too much Chocolate!! Love to all you girls that mean lots to me.. Moonie girl xx

These photos were taken the day Danielle left me... well I call it ... Left me :-( or should I say left home.. This was one of the most hurtful saddest days of my life. I was happy for her by I died inside.

Girls night in

I was invited to go and spend some time with 3 awesome girls yesterday in Brisbane. We had some great movies while we scrapped, yummy dinner and lunch especially cooked for the occasion, a few wines and mixes and of course awesome company with lots and lots of mojo being thrown around the room.
This is one of my layouts I put together with a touch of inspiration from Kim Jeffress. I stated the fact that I struggle to have white space on any of my pages. Just doesn't feel right. So I put myself to the challenge and failed miserably... but was super happy with the end result anyway.
Fiscars clouds punches, Banner and twine from Gail Lindner Esty store which are so perfectly cute, October afternoon paper, Jenni Bowlin alpha stickers, Thickers letters, my2angels journal pin, circle frame around Corey from Little Yellow Bicycle Pack your bags range and paper. Was also so awesome to see my girl Taryn Stark who was making some pretty amazing cards at her leisure over a few glasses of wine.

And here is my second layout I completed.
These are such beautiful feminine papers and I had the perfect photo that I wanted to use for these. This is one of my besties up in Mackay who I saw not long ago and her new baby girl Ebony. Little wee Ebs she is. Such a darling of a little gir who has the cheekiest gummy bear smile.
I have used the Graphic 45 Once upon a Springtime range. The perfect paper for me to play with, ink it up, distress it, tear it and lots of tags and so on to use on your page. I have used Collections Transparency on the top of the page and just cut that shape out. I love them. Just added a stunning brad over the top of it.
So there you have it. I had a great night and a productive one at that.

Today is a very lazy day. Well and truly deserved. Our house is so quiet, Corey has friend over and they are making mobile boats out of plastic bottles to float in the pool while Ken and I relax and have some quiet time together.... ps.. while I get all my instructions typed up and sent off.
Hope you are all having a great weekend too.

One thing I am so blessed with in this life of mine is my childhood. From my Nana and Grandad on my Mum's side there is approximately 50 of us grand kids. That is including Mum and her 6 brothers and sisters, then all us grand kids, then the next Grand kids, which is my Danielle's generation and now the next generation. And the best thing ever is that we are all so close. Us Grand kids all grew up together and we all went to Nan and Grandad's farm every Sunday afternoon about 2 or 3pm to go and ride the horses, get on the back of Grandad's Landrover and go all over his farm, ride the motor bikes all over the farm , pick plums and apples of the very famous trees which fed us all for soo many years, and then of course all ended up scratching Grandad's feet which were harder than nails before the big family feast. Maria in the photo below is one of my awesome cousins. She is one year younger than me. We went our own ways about 22 years ago still in contact but been living in Sydney for the past 10 years. We try and catch up once a year. This time they come up here. They are awesome parents. They are traveling around Australia for 12 months doing home school with their 3 skid lids. They are sick of the Sydney life and their high demanding careers so they have been saving for 12 months to do this trip. They spent the day and night here last night on their way through to Fraser Island which is their next stop. We had the best time ever...!! One thing in life I will always be grateful for and never take for granted.. my Family!!

In this picture is my blista Tan, cousin Maria and her 3 skidlids Indiana, Toby and Jake. What awesome, fun gorgeous kids. And this wee fruitloop Indi rules those boys. She is the boss!! Soo funny to watch her.

Wedding Day Canvases

I have used this gorgeous paper collection from Echo Park Be Mine before and it is too sweet to just leave and not use the rest of it.
So I decided to go OTP and get a bit creative and do something for ME.

I had these 4 small canvases sitting in the cupboard for ages. I have cut of the size of the canvas using the Echo Park paper and scrapped it using the beautiful range of products Tracy has over here at my2angels.

I have also used a bit of Teresa Collins Welcome Home paper. The frames and chandeliers are simply stunning and easy to cut out.

Firstly I have indulged in her all time cute as charms. These are soo my favourites. To bling it up a bit I have added some pink diamantes and some silver bling diamantes.

On the OUR DAY canvas I have used the Scrapware Chipboard Antique Lowercase Alphas Mini and then inked them up using Orchid Brilliance ink and then added glossy accents over the top for that nice firm glossy finish. I love the circle pendant. It opens all ideas up what to put in there. I have cut out a piece of co ordinating paper and put our Wedding date on it finishing it off with two of my favorite charms. The key and the word Love tied up with some sweet organza ribbon. I then adhere the letter to a Teresa Collins Welcome frame.

You don't need much to bling it up and give it that romantic beautiful touch.

With the Scrapware Chipboard Antique Lowercase Alphas for my title I have inked them up using Orchid Brilliance ink and then added glossy accents over the top for that nice firm glossy finish. I love the circle pendant. It opens all ideas up what to put in there. I have cut out a piece of co ordinating paper and put our Wedding date on it finishing it off with two of my favorite charms. The large silver key charm and the Love charm are tied up with some pink organza ribbon.

and on this canvas (shhh... but I have a wedgie :-) )

I used one of the small Scrapware Alyssa Flourishs, painted it and then lightly smeared some Ranger Stickles to it for that added bling then finally added one of Tracy's beautiful Princess charms.

I have used one of the lovely Metallic Cream Skeleton Leaves and placed a wee Resin Cabochons Flowers Pink over the top of a pink flower.

I am soo in love with these. I could have them all in a jar and eat em up like lollies.

On this canvas I have cut out one of Teresa Collins frames and added some Rhinestones around the frame. I have then added the beautiful sweet as butterfly.

Before I added it I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Gold Glimmer Mist.

I have actually sprayed all the background papers with the gold glimmer mist before I scrapped each page. It is so beautiful when it is on the paper. I am obsessed with it. Love the Gold...
It is my safe color. LOL.

On the bottom of this photo on this canvas I have added the lovely White and Silver Acrylic Chain with Rhinestones. These are just beautiful and so easy to use.

And of course to top off my page I have added more bling by using the LOVE pin, Eiffel Tower Charm and the bling trim which is very sweet. Easy to use by adhering it with just a bit of Pritt glue or Glossy accents.

So there is my project which I now have hanging in my scrapping room.
I love it.
Go and give it a go..
Something different is great for me ....
Gives me a break from the layouts which I cannot seem to manage to stop putting together..
Maybe because I just love scrapping so much xx
