Time to chill out

Our wee family decided to take some time out from the business and the daily routine of life.. so we packed up the caravan, the surf board and our pillows and hit the road.
We spent two days at Rainbow Beach first. This was just bliss. We didn't bother about cooking, just had a simple breaky in the mornings at the van and ate out for lunch and dinner. Was great to explore the beaches, and have some quality time together.

And lastly this is the gorgeous fabric I found in the most amazing Patchwork Fabric shop I have ever seen in my life.. It is soooooooooooooooooo worth the drive up there if you are wanting to find the most awesome fabric ever..
I have been looking online for months now for some fabric. I have known exactly what I want but havent been able to find it anywhere. But I walked into this shop two days ago and fell to my knees.. hehehe
Click here for the website and go and have a good browse around. You will be amazed at what they have.
I have only made one patchwork quilt before.. well many for Corey as a baby but I'm taking the full on Queen size quilting quilt...so I will be a bit rusty but I have the confidence to get there. I still use the first one I made every day in my lounge and I am busting to get this new funky one started.
Hope you all have a great week.
Thanks for stopping by the say hi x

Not much scrapping has been going on here in this house for the past two weeks.. I have had my girl here for a week and it has been so lovely. So wish she would move back home. She is pretty happy being back at home but I'm not sure if it is enough to want to come home.
Time will tell I am guessing.
We have just enjoyed being at home together, having home cooked meals, watching movies, bike riding and catching up on some more recent photos.
We are off in our caravan for a few days tomorrow and then the girls fly home on Thursday so next week I am back to normal. I have also had my cousin from NZ here for the past 4 days. There is about 40 of us grandkids and we all grew up together very close so it is nice 40 years on we still get on like we did when we were 7. Except he's not pulling my hair and I'm not punching him in the head.
So here are a few pics to share with you all. Miss my scrapping. Will catch up on some magazines over the next few days in the caravan.
Bye for now

And more important... Our special boy Corey is now officially a Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club Nipper...!! He is so excited and focused on this. He wants to be just like his Dad and learn to know the surf and be a great person on the beach and in the water. We are getting him a Nippers board for Christmas which he is very excited about. The kids we have employed over the past two years who are Surf Life Savers are the most focused and dedicated workers we have seen out there in young teenagers. It is a great start to their lives. We are hoping he does well.

That's it for now my luvs.. hope you all have a great week and keep up that passion x

Every day I count my lucky starts and know just how lucky and blessed for where I live. I am in love with the Sunshine Coast. There are so many gorgeous spots to hide out and enjoy our beaches. We went to a wedding on the weekend in a perfect we hideaway in Coolum. Walked down a mile of stone stairs to the beach. It was so cute. Perfect day for a wedding.
Here are a couple of pics.

That's all folks..x

Prima

I have just bought some of the new Prima Annalee Collection.. It is simply beautiful and can't wait to get my hands on it and get creative.
Go over to their website and check out their lovely collections..

I am very excited as my daughter and Bonnie her bestie are flying down on Wednesday to Brisbane. I get to pick them up and we are all so excited to reunite. She is here for a week then me and my boys are off away in the caravan for 5 days near the beach so it will be nice having some family time together.
I have slowed down in the scrapping the past two weeks but I have also had a huge week on last week and this week too. Never enough time in life to play is there. grrr
Well not much to tell for now but I am looking forward to my next page.

Our day out together

Not very often we get to go and spend time together outside of the home... when we have time off from the shops we are normally soo happy and content to stay and home and enjoy the tranquility. Yesterday we went around about a few places and went for a bush walk in Buderim. Was so nice.
Here are a couple of fuzzy pics to share with you off my phone.

This morning Corey and I went down to Mooloolaba Beach where Ken was training. We had a yummo breaky together for Fathers Day then spent the rest of the day at home listening and watching the rain. Was bliss to have nothing on.
I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed some family time together for Fathers Day.
See you for now

Glad I got a photo of us on our 6th Wedding Anniversary.. I was spoilt and was given a gorgeous Silver ring with a thick band with a daisy on top and a cute pendant. The pendant is also silver as I love silver. It is a flat circle with a medium size cirlce cut out of the middle. The wording around the circle is NEVER ENDING PEACE AND LOVE

Quote of the Day

Vintage Funny Pictures, Images and Photos

Alphabet Soup!

My Minds Eye have a gorgeous fun collection that I have just found online.. I cannot wait to see this in the flesh. Go here and check it out.
I can see some scrumption kids layouts for Corey and even Danielle using these products.

Out for the day....

Well today I got to have the best sleep in with Corey then we went for a ride on our pushbikes to the cafe for breaky.
Not long after that we went out with Ken for the day and did some relaxing things.. drove around the coast, then attended a BBQ. All they served was German sausages of all flavors and Sauerkraut. Red and white cabbage...OOMGolly.. how yummy was it all. Nice to try something different for a change.
I'm home in bed for a relaxing night with Corey watching television.
Last night I went to Daisy Chain Scrapbooks and was happy with what I did for the night. I normally pump out just the one layout but last night I managed to get two done. They are not full on layouts but I was happy with what I did.

This is the new Crate Paper School Spirit Collection.. As soon as I lay my eyes on it, I could feel the inspiration come on. And this is why my friends we are soo addicted to scrapbooking.. All the beautiful wonderful papers and embellies that come out every week are just so overwhelming.

This is a pretty fun layout. I do normally struggle with not having so much on a page, but it was fun to do for a change and I am happy with the end result. The backing paper is Pink Paislee Starlight and I have included some We are Memory Keepers stickers and paper which seemed to blend perfectly. These photos were taken in Townsville on the stand at the big water bucket after a few hours of shopping. Corey was very patient and enjoyed his time to the max in the water while Ken and I lay in the sun.
I hope you have all had a wonderful Saturday. It's our 6th Wedding Anniversary today. One we haven't forgotten. In the 6 years of marriage we have missed 3 anniversaries.. Ooopsie.. I remembered at 11.45pm last night while scrapping with the girls..
Thanks for looking
